Founded in 2025, the Idanha Development Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN: 33-4860223 and is dedicated to enhancing the economic well-being and quality of life for the residents and visitors of Idanha, Oregon. Our focus on collaborating with city planners and energizing community development has led to several initiatives aimed at fostering growth and sustainability. We believe in the power of community engagement and strive to create a vibrant, inclusive environment through collaboration and innovative projects. Our core values include Community Engagement, Sustainability, and Transparency, guiding us in our mission to empower the Idanha community.

From tree lightings at City Hall, to community barbeques in the park and other seasonal events, the events we plan are all for the benefit of bringing the community together.

Idanha Park Revitalization
This project aims to revitalize the local park on Church Street, making it a more welcoming space for families and community events.

Historic Church Restoration
Spearheaded by community leader Jane James, the restoration of the old country church will make this building a safe, fun and vibrant community gathering space giving life to community fellowship for many years to come.

Meet the Team

Serena Morones
President/Visionary
Serena leads the foundation with a vision for sustainable community development and engagement.

Vickie Spier
Vice President/Community Historian
Vicki is a lifelong Idanha and Detroit resident. Vicki’s Grandmother was the first Idanha post mistress, and her Grandfather bought the stained glass windows for the church. Vicki is our instigator for our community activities. She’s also our local historian and loves pink.

Jane James
Treasurer/Community Engagement Pied Piper
Jane connects with community members promoting foundation initiatives, with an emphasis on children’s activities, historic church restoration and compassion outreach.

Martha Tracy
Secretary/Inspiration Whisperer

Ellie Cervantes
Operations Coordinator/ Girl Friday
Ellie specializes in research and planning and supports the President.

Board Member
Zola is a life-long Idanha resident with a generous heart and tons of crafty, creative abilities.
