Our Priorities for 2026 and Beyond

Rebuilding community. Restoring history. Creating a new economic future for Idanha.

1. Rebuilding Community Traditions

A community is built through shared traditions.

Beginning in 2026, IDF will host two annual events that bring neighbors together year after year.

The Idanha Mountain Festival: We had an amazing turnout last year with vendors, neighbors and friends.

  • Third week of July
  • Parade through Idanha
  • Vendors, games, competitions
  • Family-friendly celebration

Christmas Tree Lighting: We are working to move this cherished tradition indoors at the new Idanha-Detroit Fire Station, creating a warm, welcoming holiday gathering space.

  • Santa appearance
  • Indoor activities
  • Community celebration
